Personal Notes:
Her father’s will refers to her as wife of Henry Harnett. They married St Laurence (both of the parish) on 16 June 1720. Cotton wrongly concludes that she married William Harnett of Spratling Street, St. Laurence.
Elizabeth's children are refered to In her mother's will: my late daughter Elizabeth Harnett and her daughters:
Mary married to William Stock, £5
Thomasine wife of John Maxted £5
Mercy married to Thomas Hollands £10
Ann and Dorothy £10,
and her sons Peter, Henry and John £10.
The children of Elizabeth and Henry Harnett agree with the those cited in Mercy’s will so there is no doubt that Cotton is wrong.
