Note 11: Daniel CURLING, of Chilton, died 6th March 1745/6 aged 45 years. Also Elizabeth, wife of above, died 31st January 1788 aged 90 years ex MI. Burial 10 Mar 1745/6 ex FMP PR
Cotton gives Daniel's death “at the age of 45 in 1715”. This is clearly wrong as Daniel was born about 1700 and married in 1723. The correct date is 1745.
Personal Notes:
Daniel had predeceased his mother when she wrote her will proved 1759. Her will refers to his four children. It appears Daniel and Elizabeth had 6 chidren and presumably two died young.

• Sound of body and mind but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life
• to wife Elizabeth All of his real and personal estate for her lifetime, she maintaining and bringing up their children until they reach 21 if there are any living at the time of his decease
• Immediately after wife’s decease child or children to inherit the same
• If no child survives Elizabeth, Daniel’s brothers Alexander and Thomas to inherit, sharing the property equally but paying £40 each to brothers John and William and to sisters Mercy, wife of George Orsbon [sic], Elizabeth wife of Henry Harnet, Anne wife of Henry Belsy, and spinsters Mary and Margaret.

Infact his sister Mary married Peter Harnett and his sister Margaret married Martin Read after Daniel wrote his will.
