Note 2: Bride given as Susan Maria Adams ex DFHS Marriage on 23 July 1801 at Heavitree, Devon (IGI). Tom’s data from the Heavitree records (as copied by the vicar in 1934) give the banns on 38 (sic) June, 5 and 12 July 1801. Presumably this should be 28 June, 5 and 12 July (all Sundays as expected). The curate was Peter Comys Tucker and the witnesses were: Jacob Payne and Elizabeth Adams. Elizabeth is possibly Anna Maria Adams’ sister and Jacob Payne her brother in law (he had married Anna Maria’s sister Hagar in 1798). Also available ex FMP PR
