Note 2: Married Elizabeth Reeve at the parish church Littleham on 2 March 1761. Edmund was 29, bachelor, watchmaker of Exmouth,son of John Boyce watchmaker. Elizabeth was 22, spinster of Withycombe Raleigh daughter of Richard Reeve, gardener. The witnesses were Ann Ward Boyce and Rachael Reeve ex FMP PR. The marriage was registered at St Thomas March 1862 5b 96.

Personal Notes:

1911 census Elizabeth Boyce was living at 50 Victoria Road in an 8 roomed house. She was 71, widowed, had been married 48 years (she was married in 1862) and born Heavitree so agrees perfectly. She was living with her nephew George John Boyce, 29, jeweller born Withycombe Raleigh. She had one servant. The census reveals that she had had 12 children, 6 of whom had died so there are 5 children who were born from about 1863 to about 1845 to find all probably registered St Thomas. Her funeral announcement: W E Boyce, H Boyce and A Boyce sons, Mrs E Searle and Mrs W Loram daughters (Florence and Eliza). Henry Boyce of Thurloxton etc confirms the family.
